FAQs

  • The Flight Club is Golf Athletics’ community-driven social competition! It’s all about fun, friendly rivalry, and getting involved—whether by playing, spectating, or cheering. Members compete in teams through in-house games, online challenges, and on-course events. We give each team points for players that achieve certain tasks.

    This could be as competitive as winning games or as simple as having the best celebration routine!

    We’re here to hang out, have fun and enjoy meeting new people… and get better at golf at the same time.

  • Anyone! Whether you’re a current member, a past member, or completely new to Golf Athletics, you’re welcome to join.

  • Not at all! The Flight Club is for everyone, from complete beginners to seasoned players. We have different game formats that cater to all skill levels.

  • 1️⃣ Friday Night Flights (FNF) – Fun, fast-paced team games at Golf Athletics, held every three weeks.
    2️⃣ Online Challenges – Participate remotely by submitting your best shots, trick shots, or skill-based tasks.
    3️⃣ Playing Days – Group games at local courses with different formats like Stableford, Scramble, and Stroke Play.

  • All participants must register for The Flight Club via our online form. Once registered, you’ll be assigned to one of our four teams, each led by dedicated captains.

  • We encourage you to stay with your assigned team for the season to keep the competition fair and fun. However, if there’s a special request, chat with us!

  • Nope! You can participate as much or as little as you want. Even spectating and cheering your team on helps!

  • FREE for all Golf Athletics members! If you have an active membership, you can participate in any Flight Club event at no extra charge.

    Playing Day (On-Course) will incur additional Green Fees and Competition Fees.

  • Yes! Sign up for Pay-Per-Use membership and you can attend these events.

    Pay-Per-Use members simply need to check in whenever they attend an event.

  • All event dates and details will be posted on our website’s Events Page (this page) and shared on our social media channels.

  • Yes! Points are earned throughout the year, and at our Annual Flight Club Event, we’ll tally scores and crown the winning team! Plus, we’ll have some fun spot prizes along the way.

  • For Friday Night Flights, just bring yourself and your energy! Of course, if you’re playing, bring your clubs.

    For Playing Days, bring your clubs ) and be prepared for a fun round of golf.

FRIDAY NIGHT FLIGHTS

Register and book your spot online and come down to meet new people, play and have some fun. All participants must register.

Our first game is:

One’s!

  • You play 1 hole, match play (with handicap taken into account, if there is a 10 stroke gap, you must give the other player a stroke). Winner stay on.

  • If the hole is squared, the winner stays on.

  • For every winning streak of 3 games will give your team a point.

  • If a player doesn’t have a handicap, a team captain will assess and give you one (we’ll estimate one on the night to keep the games fair).

Points gathered are arbitrary, so whilst we are competitive, don’t take it too seriously.

Best spectator on the night gets a point for their team.

Our captains will be onsite to help facilitate the games.

23’ Spring League

23’ Spring League ( 5 September 2023 - 3 November 2023, 9 Week Qualifying Rounds) - Finals on 12th NOVEMBER

Autumn/Winter was amazing. We had over 25 players competing in Division A and Division B, with our winners walking away with Titleist Stand Bags, credit into their Golf Athletics accounts as well as free entry into our Playing Days event and Spring League.

Join in now to try take the honours and put your name on our Div A & Div B cup for our 23’ Spring League. It’s going to be our largest, most competitive and fun league!

How it works?

  • Weekly games played on the a Tuesday or Friday evening from 6pm - 9.30pm, 6 sessions per night (4 players per session, bookings essential)

  • Minimum of 6 games played our of 9 total games to qualify for the Division A and Division B Finals on the Sun, 12th November (12PM - 5PM).

  • You can play one game that is self assessed.

  • We play 9 holes during qualifying the weeks, you book into a session via our access app with other players and we record your weekly score.

  • We take your handicap into our account to put you into your most competitive league, however your performance over your qualifying rounds will also play a factor as to what handicap you play on in the finals.

  • Members $99 entry fee. Max players 40. Non-member’s welcome, please enquire here enquires@golfatheltics.golf or on our chat box.
